Renesas Electronics to Withdraw from the Microwave Semiconductor Device Business2016-08-22
With an aim to concentrate its resources on focus domains of the compound device business, Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, has announced that it will withdraw from the microwave semiconductor device business.
Amtele, a long time partner to California Eastern Laboratories (CEL), provide this advance notice of the discontinuation of several Renesas parts that are supplied through CEL.
CEL will be offering direct drop-in replacement parts to many of the Renesas Microwave parts being discontinued including all RF Switches and most of the Low Noise GaAs FETs (pHEMTs).
The new product lineup includes additional options for very low cost and high performance RF Switches and RF Low Noise FETs. These CEL products use the same Japanese packaging, assembly and test manufacturer as used by Renesas Electronics to achieve their high quality and reliability.
A complete list of the part numbers affected and the replacement CEL part numbers can be supplied on request.
